FAQ
Questions answered before implementation begins.
Public guidance explains behavior and qualification. Account-specific configuration begins after company access.
Model behavior
Protocol mode and family behavior are separate decisions.
When should an application use compatible behavior?
Use it when broad client fit and a consistent interaction pattern matter more than family-specific fields.
When does native family behavior matter?
Use it when the application depends on request or response semantics defined by that family.
Which modalities are described publicly?
The reviewed display covers language, image, video, audio, and vectors.
Why can tool and output behavior differ by family?
Each reviewed family exposes its own behavior. A capability shown for one family does not imply the same behavior elsewhere.
When is a model choice confirmed for an account?
The family, behavior, and applicable boundaries are confirmed during company acceptance.
GPU qualification
Capacity qualification begins with the workload profile.
How do on-demand, reserved, and serverless capacity differ?
They reflect different duration, continuity, and operating patterns. The accepted form follows the reviewed workload.
Which workload information determines the starting capacity form?
The review begins with duration, traffic pattern, interruption tolerance, and the responsibility your team expects to retain.
How do memory and interconnect affect qualification?
Memory limits the working set available to each accelerator. Interconnect matters when work must coordinate across accelerators.
How are training, inference, and batch workloads reviewed?
Each is assessed through its runtime pattern, continuity need, and hardware fit rather than through its label alone.
When are region and current capacity confirmed?
Both are confirmed during acceptance because current supply is not represented by the public page.
Sandbox boundaries
The runtime boundary covers execution, state, and network access.
What work can run inside an agent sandbox?
Reviewed workloads can use code, browser, or desktop tools inside an isolated environment.
How is the environment separated from the surrounding application?
The sandbox provides a dedicated execution and filesystem boundary instead of inheriting the application environment.
What state can remain after active work stops?
Approved filesystem or memory state can remain according to account-specific persistence terms.
How is network access defined for a workload?
Outbound access is reviewed as part of the workload boundary and applied through account-specific rules.
When are snapshots and templates useful?
Snapshots preserve an approved state. Templates define a reviewed starting environment for repeated work.
Which lifecycle decisions remain account-specific?
Resource, retention, storage, timeout, pause, and termination terms follow the accepted workload.
Engineering responsibility
Design responsibility continues into operation.
What is decided during Shape?
The team decomposes the process, assigns knowledge ownership, marks human decisions, and defines acceptance conditions.
What becomes a deliverable during Build?
Agents, shared knowledge, integrations, infrastructure placement, and operating controls become a working system.
What responsibility continues after launch?
The same engagement covers evaluation, change, incident response, and adaptation as the process changes.
How do human decisions remain part of the process?
Decision points are marked in the process and retained as explicit operating boundaries.
How are knowledge sources owned and changed?
Ownership and change paths are assigned during Shape and carried into the running system.
How are the three infrastructure lines selected?
Each system responsibility is placed on model access, GPU capacity, or sandbox execution according to the work it carries.
Account controls
Account owners define access and operating boundaries.
Who owns the credentials for an account?
Account owners create their own keys after access is issued.
Which operating boundaries can an account owner set?
Account owners define network rules and set spending limits for the accepted work.
What can an account owner review after access is issued?
Usage records are available to the account owner.
Where do security and data-handling questions go?
